Our Study & Work in Spanish Hotels program offers you a unique opportunity to improve your Spanish and earn a small allowance while you have jobs in Spanish hotels gaining valuable work experience in Spain's hospitality industry. This program is available for students of many nationalities.

Study & Work in Spanish Hotels

You will have a Spanish language immersion course at don Quijote before putting your new skills into practice on a paid work placement in a Hotel or Country House.

This program is available to students from the USA,Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, along with EU member states and Iceland, Switzerland and Norway. Study in any of our schools in Spain for a minimum of 4 weeks, then put your new language skills to take a job in a Spanish hotel or country house in mainland Spain, or in the Spanish Canary or Balearic Islands. Accommodation and meals will be provided during your paid work abroad placement and you will earn a small monthly allowance of between € 200 and € 400 to cover your expenses while you live in Spain and build your tourism resumé.

  • Intensive 20 + 5 Spanish course (4 weeks)
  • Paid Work Abroad placement in a 3-5 star hotel or country house in Spain
  • Certification of completion
  • Full board shared accommodation in the Hotel or Country House for the work placement duration
  • Telephone support during the work placement for employer and employee

The price listed above is calculated for a 4-week course, the minimum required for participation in this program. Keep in mind that with the higher level of Spanish you would attain in a longer course, you would be more likely to secure a better position requiring contact with the public.

Eligibility, Citizenship
Students between 18 - 30 years old from the EU, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, USA, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Japan
Eligibility, Interest in the Tourism Industry
We require that participating students must be 18 - 30 years old and have either academic coursework or work experience in tourism, leisure, hospitality management or food service.

Spanish course: Host family, student residence or shared student flat. Work placement: Full board, on site accommodation.
